Blogging Break

I'll be on a blogging break until around mid-June. I won't be making any new posts nor will I be responding to any new comments or emails. Inshallah, I'll be back after that with some entertaining posts.

Stay Tuned....

Some titles planned for next month:

- Calling All White Boys to Islam...
- Trying to Pray With Kids
- A Driving Desire

I hope to see you back soon and hope the kids are doing well.

Remember Manal will help on that project of yours if you want. Just let us know.

As a white boy called to Islam, I'll be interested in reading that one!

Wow, I'm very glad I found your blog, which I found in an image search for the abaya to show my daughter. At least while you are taking a break from blogging I can catch up on what you've written so far! I'm looking forward to it;)

Thanks for the "Coexist" logo, I knew the second I saw it that I wanted to read what you have to say. Insha'Allah you will have a good break, but in the meantime, nice to meet you! And trust me, I think we all sometimes feel like "Stepford Wives", or that the world would be happier if we were replaced by them! HAHA!

Assalamu alaykum Daisy,

Hope you had a nice break ( you are taking longer then I expected woman) but now it is time to write something interesting for readers such as myself who can't wait to read something new of yours!!! So please come back soon insha'Allah (well rested and refreshed at that, insha'Allah).

AA Dalioness,

Speaking of blogs, my dear, what has happened to yours?!! I really miss it along with Daisys! ; ) Peace! Tina

Anonymous said...

wa alaykum salam dear Tina,

Awww, really, you miss it? Masha'Allah. Nah, it was something personal that came up and I sort of decided it is better I delete it altogether. Besides, I don't think many people found it interesting, most of the material about Islam that I did and intended to continue to post is already available elsewhere, apart from maybe a few books I wanted to post, but I find on blogs people are more interested in good personal stories and experiences, and I simply didn't have time nor the talent plus my english vocabulary is quite poor, soooo...

It makes me happy that you liked it, though, thanks a bunch!!! And what about you, no blog of your own?

Anonymous said...

AA Dalioness,

Insh'Allah one day I might consider a blog but right now I'm too busy with the kids, the husband, and all that comes with being a stay-at-home mom/wife! I really did enjoy your blog, especially the stories of your grandparents! Mosh'Allah you are also a wonderful example of what a good Muslimah should be! I never would have guessed you had problems with english vocabulary. Hope to see you around on Daisy and Carols blogs!! Tina

Assalamu alaykum Tina,

Aww, you are so sweet! I pray that Allah covers my sins and and that I really am what you said of me and more insha'Allah. I make the same dua for you sister.

I'm sure I will stick around Daisy's blog insha'Allah, but I'm not sure about commenting on Carols' blog, although she is a very nice person. I just didn't "fit in with the crowd", hehe. Anyways, thank you for your sweet words. Btw, don't feel bad, I am sure you are much more fulfilled being a wife and a mother (how wonderful that must be) and it shows you put your family before all else, which is wonderful. As for my grandparents, hehe, everyday I hear a new story, from them and about them. I think if you met them you wouldn't be able to stop laughing-pretty much all day long (and well into the late night hours). LOL

See ya around (insha'Allah)!

I hope everything is okay Daisy and hope Manal's submission helped with your dissertation, Insha'Allah.

Just discovered your blog by accident somehow and absolutely love it. I have so many deadlines yet I couldn't resist reading a few posts. I moved to the UAE ten years ago and worked in education (although I'm now a full-time freelance travel writer and while Dubai is still our base we spend more time on the road than there), but I spent thousands and thousands of hours over the years sitting around with my Emirati students as they shared their lives with me, and although life is very different in the UAE to Saudia some of what you write reminds me of them. Hoping you'll be back soon. I'll certainly be back to check in on you!

Hello, I'm writing because I have a lot of traffic to my website coming from your blog site, even though you haven't made a post here in years. I'm curious as to why that is, as well as if you are well. Will you begin blogging again?

Hi I don't know if you are able to check this blog but I have often wondered where you are. I was a loyal reader from Riyadh. I tried by the off chance to find you again and got the old post from Carol's site. Very saddened and appalled to read of your circumstance,I hope you are well and in a safe place. Know you are loved :)
