Suprise- It's Eid in Saudia

As we sat driving in the car, SMS messages started coming into our phones from family and friends congratulating us on Eid. But, didn't everything and everyone in the world tell us that Eid was supposed to be on Saturday?

-Eid housecleaning, not done
-henna, not done
-clothes that fit my midget Indonesian housekeeper after 2 failed tries, not done
-special Eid decorations, not done

Apparantly someone here saw the crescent moon.

Well, to all my Muslim readers, Eid Mubarak:-)

EID KAREEM Darlin',
I feel ya on the "not done" list. I just messed my house up again sewing my hijab for my outfit and now that is 4:50am I'm going to bed so I can wake up in an hour for fajr and to start getting ready. yeah :S

Eid Mubarak everyone! I found it as a nice suprise to celebrate on Friday. My friends in Michigan are celebrating on Saturday while their neighbors in Ohio celebrated Friday. Go figure.

When Eid was announced I had to rush all the unfinished tasks and shopping. Stayed up well into 2:00 am battling the pre-eid traffic rush.

Selamat Hari Raya Idul Fitri!*

"Happy Eid" Indonesian spelling :)

Inshallah all of you had a good Eid whether it was on Friday or Saturday.

And how cool is the internet that I can now say Happy Ramadan in so many languages!
